Hi, I'm Antony O'Halloran (Also known as AntArtist).

I am originally from Surrey in London, where I spent my early childhood. However, my family moved to Durham in the North-East of England when I was in my teens. My school years were hard, but I was lucky to have great support from my teachers and friends, which gave me the opportunity to enjoy growing up and developing into the person I am.

I started my creative journey by enrolling on a Games Development course at Gateshead College.  I really enjoyed creating character designs and concept art, which made me realise that I wanted to focus more on drawing and developing my own style.  I then went on to study Art and Design, which allowed me to experiment more with my creative ideas.

I used to study at Teesside University in Comics and Graphic Novels. It was an interesting journey as I started University when the Covid-19 pandemic happened, which meant my work was completed online. This was a strange experience as I was unable to meet lecturers and other students and had to work independently for the first year of my studies. However, this allowed me to further develop my organisational/time management skills and continue to expand my knowledge of understanding comic books. This also gave me creative control when planning projects.

My passion is art and as a child I used images to help me communicate, and to understand the world around me.  Growing up, I was inspired by comic book artists, and I knew that creating comics was something that I wanted do. Throughout my school years I was encouraged to use my drawing skills to communicate, and it has been amazing to discover how my passion for art could help me to achieve a career as a professional Comic Artist.
